Payments, Payouts & Disputes

Everything you need to know about how payments work for experts on ExpertBridge.

Your Payout

After a session is completed and the client payment settles, your payout is calculated based on the duration of engagement you logged.

Session Requirements

  • Join on time: You must join the engagement at the stipulated time
  • Stay logged in: Remain connected for the entire scheduled duration, even if the client joins late
  • Extensions: If a call needs to extend beyond the booked time, request the client to either book a new session or process credit for additional time after the call

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clients are entitled to a full refund if the expert does not join within the first 5 minutes of the scheduled session time. Please ensure you're ready and connected before the session begins.

For India-Based Experts

GST Requirements:

  • If you are GST-registered in India, your hourly rate must be all-inclusive
  • No additional GST can be added on top of your quoted fee
  • Ensure your rate accounts for applicable GST when setting your profile

TDS Deductions:

  • PAN details are required for tax compliance
  • If PAN is not provided, TDS at 20% will be deducted from your payouts
  • With valid PAN on file, standard TDS rates apply as per Income Tax regulations

Bank Account Setup

To receive payouts, add your bank details in your profile:

Required Fields

  • Account holder name
  • Bank name and branch
  • Account number
  • IFSC code (India) or SWIFT/IBAN (international)

Tax Compliance

  • PAN — Required for all Indian experts
  • GSTIN — Required if GST-registered
  • TDS — Deducted at source per Indian tax law (Section 194J)

Disputes

If you have an issue with a session or payment:

  1. Email support@expertbridge.co within 7 days
  2. Include: Booking reference, session date, description of issue
  3. We review and respond within 2 business days
  4. Resolution within 5 business days

FAQ

Q: When do I get paid? A: Payouts are processed after the client's payment settles, typically within 5 business days of session completion.

Q: What if a client cancels? A: If cancelled less than 24 hours before the session, you receive partial compensation.

Q: Do I need to generate invoices? A: No. ExpertBridge generates GST-compliant invoices automatically.

Q: How is TDS handled? A: TDS is deducted at source. You'll receive a TDS certificate for filing.
